Start\u00ading with the exquisitely-told sto\u00adry of how they met at a par\u00adty in Toron\u00adto, the nar\u00adra\u00adtive goes on to take a life of its own using their speech\u00ades and vows to tell the sto\u00adry of their day, their rela\u00adtion\u00adship thus far, and what it has and will become. It\u2019s a com\u00adplex and inter\u00adwo\u00adven nar\u00adra\u00adtive that frames all the dif\u00adfer\u00adent ele\u00adments that make this film so spe\u00adcial: the bohemi\u00adan, picnic-style rehearsal din\u00adner at the Wood\u00adburn Inn<\/a>, their per\u00adfect\u00adly infor\u00admal speech\u00ades, the inti\u00admate cer\u00ade\u00admo\u00adny tucked away on the edge of the Ridge\u00adpoint Win\u00adery<\/a> vine\u00adyards, and the rus\u00adtic open-air din\u00adner that followed.<\/p>\n

Two things were clear to us from our first meet\u00ading with Mel and Carey well over a year before their wed\u00adding week\u00adend: 1) it was going to be an intri\u00adcate\u00adly designed, family-centered cel\u00ade\u00adbra\u00adtion with lots of mov\u00ading parts and (2) wed\u00adding cin\u00ade\u00admatog\u00adra\u00adphy was very impor\u00adtant to them. They had ideas, both tech\u00adni\u00adcal and cre\u00adative, which they were eager to incor\u00adpo\u00adrate into their sto\u00adry, which in turn inspired us in what quick\u00adly became one of our most expan\u00adsive tech\u00adni\u00adcal under\u00adtak\u00adings for a wed\u00adding. From drones, to hop\u00adping in the back of our car with the Movi to fol\u00adlow the couple\u2019s dri\u00adve into the vine\u00adyard, crank\u00ading the low-light capac\u00adi\u00adties of the C100s to film their rehearsal speech\u00ades, there is not a sin\u00adgle tool in our arse\u00adnal that wasn\u2019t used through\u00adout the two days.<\/p>\n\"Groom\n\"Groom\n\"Niagara\n\"Bride\n\"Bride\n

Yet as intense as this process sounds and as packed as Mel and Carey\u2019s cel\u00ade\u00adbra\u00adtions were, you wouldn\u2019t be able to tell from their wed\u00adding film.
