There was a lot of excitement behind Aryne and John’s wedding celebration amongst the rows of vines that line Peller Estates. You could feel it in the room that evening. Not only were Aryne and John’s family and friends celebrating their love and marriage, but also John’s return home to Toronto after signing with the Maple Leafs just weeks before the wedding. And while that excitement amounted to one of the most epic parties (and wine cellar after-parties) that we’ve ever filmed, it plays a much more important role in the narrative, where after 7 years of long-distance, John comes home to Aryne and the two are no longer burdened by Skype calls and squeezing in short visits to NYC.

This is a simple film. But there’s beauty in that simplicity. A framework in which a really powerful, emotional story can ring out, effortlessly carried by the stunning footage that makes up their day. Aryne and John simply wanted their wedding cinematography to reflect them and their celebration.

Having fallen in love with Allie and Cody’s same-day edit last year, they trusted our vision and candid documentary approach. From a shoot at their home, to the groomsmen pool party, a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the vines, a jaw-dropping tented reception, and the aforementioned after-party with custom-made t‑shirts, this one will have you hummin’ from beginning to end.
